The real estate industry and the provinces are mindful that the federal government is likely to act soon on its electoral promise to ban blind bidding. Recently, Ahmed Hussen, the Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion, revealed plans to unveil a Home Buyers’ Bill of Rights that could have provisions to restrict or ban blind bidding.
